Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 July 2026
OrgPulse Pty Ltd ("OrgPulse", "we", "us") is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and disclose it, and how you can access or correct it.
1. What we collect
- Account information — email address and password (hashed) when you sign up.
- Usage data — pages visited, searches performed, referrer, browser user agent, and timestamps, used to secure the service and understand how it is used.
- Communications — messages you send to info@orgpulse.com.au.
We do not collect sensitive information as defined under the Privacy Act (health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, criminal record, biometrics).
2. Public information about employers
OrgPulse analyses public social-media behaviour — reactions, comments, shares, and audience composition on employers' public posts — to derive six culture signals. We do not scrape private profiles, private messages, or content behind a login. Employers featured in OrgPulse are legal entities, not natural persons, and the derived signals are aggregate measurements of publicly observable audience behaviour.
3. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and provide the service.
- To improve product quality, detect abuse, and prevent fraud.
- To communicate with you about the service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not permit employers to pay to change their score.
4. Disclosure
We may disclose personal information to trusted service providers who help us run OrgPulse (hosting, database, authentication, analytics) under contractual obligations of confidentiality. Some providers may store data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients comply with the APPs.
5. Security and retention
We use industry-standard controls — encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, and role-based access — to protect your information. We retain account data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
6. Access, correction, and complaints
You may request access to or correction of your personal information, or delete your account, by emailing info@orgpulse.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
7. Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to measure aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
